Miracle Man takes Red Stripe Superstakes |

The 27th running of the Red Stripe
Super Stakes saw a scintillating performance by derby winner
Miracle Man.
With the effervescent jockey Allan
Maragh in the saddle, ‘Miracle Man’ turned the 10 furlong
event into an afternoon stroll in the park, winning by a
massive 8 lengths in a record breaking time.
The 3 year old colt trained by Billy Williams won at odds of
4 to 1 and virtually assured himself of the Horse of the
Year award.
The secondary feature, the Caribbean sprint championship
went to ‘A King is Born’, the one to two favourite ridden by
Winston Griffiths for trainer Phillip Feanny.
The jockey's challenge championship was won by Wesley Henry
who won two races.
The two year old breeder’s cup race went to ‘Christmas Gift’
ridden by Andrew Ramgeet at odds of 18-1.
Champion jockey Trevor Simpson fell from his mount ‘Reload’
in the 5th race and did not ride for the rest of the
afternoon.
